To enable young Europeans to get to know the Brazilian reality in which Casa do Menor operates
The Project
Amongst the activities proposed by Casa do Menor Italia, a project was set up a few years ago, aimed at young people aged between 18 and 24 who want to experience the Brasilian reality.
The project includes a volunteer training course in Italy, followed by a month of community life in Brasil, during which the young people ‘immerse’ themselves in daily life in Brasil.
The project aims not only to open their eyes to a reality of poverty and violence that is very different from the Italian one, but also to make our young people aware of the problems that surround them in their everyday lives, and that affect the area in which they live.
Unfortunately, these too are becoming an increasingly dramatic and frequent reality.
