They grow up without the love of a family, without prospects and are condemned to the street, abandonment, violence, drugs, crime and early death.
Casa do Menor was born to address this tragedy of Brazil’s unloved children. For 30 years, with a presence of love and opportunity, it has been trying to change their destiny, to rewrite their history with new human and spiritual values inspired by the Gospel.
What we believe in:
- We believe in man and his ability to change;
- We believe in the supreme value of life and in love as a powerful tool for transformation;
- We believe in pedagogy that makes PRESENCE at the side of children and young people our mission;
- We believe in solidarity and dialogue with all people who, regardless of their religion or conviction, have dreams and values and are open to meeting and collaborating with all, without false dogmatism, closures or intolerance;
- We believe in a fraternal and united world with respect for the differences that enrich us, and we have a vision of catholicity that is universal, ecumenical, inter-religious and open to the values of those who do not believe, but fight for something great.
